Colors and Emotions in Data Visualization

As data visualization practitioners we are both engineers and designers. In our effort to create meaningful visualizations from our data, we transmit our message not only through the particular chart type and title we choose, but also through our choice of colors for the data itself and for any additional design elements.

The Worst Days of the Coronavirus Pandemic So Far

Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19 or simply Corona—what started as an epidemic in China’ has become a global pandemic. I created an animated timeseries of daily deaths relative to each country's worst day so far to visualize the first wave of COVID-19.
